Eligibility: The Contest is open to legal U.S. residents who are 18 or older by the date of March 1st, 2012. Employees of Preferred Living are not eligible to enter this Contest. Current residents at any Preferred Living community are eligible to win the Grand Prize, but will be required to fulfill their current lease before the Grand Prize may be applied. By participating in this Contest, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the interpretations of these Official Rules by Preferred Living, and by the decisions of Preferred Living, which are final in all matters relating to the Contest to release and hold harmless Preferred Living and its agents, employees, officers, directors, successors and assigns, against any and all claims, injury or damage arising out of or relating to participation in this Contest and / or the use or misuse or redemption of a prize, and for any claims based on publicity rights, defamation, invasion of privacy, copyright infringement, trademark infringement or any other intellectual property r related cause of action acknowledge compliance with these Official Rules.
Grand Prize: One (1) grand prize winner will be anonymously selected. The Winner will receive 12 months of rent at any community owned by Preferred Living, excluding The Villages at Preston Woods, The Villages at Slate Ridge, and The Traditions at Slate Ridge. Unit selection will be based on availability at the time the Winner chooses to move in. The Winner must be occupant of unit; no subletting allowed. The Contest Winner will also receive free cable and Internet from Time Warner Cable (or other provider that services the chosen property), free water from Central Ohio Water Distribution Incorporate (or other provider that services the chosen property), and free electric from American Power and Light (or other provider that services the chosen property) for free lease period. In addition, the Winner will receive one (1) burrito a week for a year (52 weeks) from Chipotle Mexican Grill and a 12-month Premium Membership to the Columbus Young Professionals Club. Prizes cannot be traded for cash value. The Winner will be held accountable to all terms of the lease agreement, policies and procedures, and will provide a W-9 for IRS reporting purposes. The Winner is subject to a criminal report and could lose winning entry based upon criminal criteria exact to those of the public Entry Period: The “LIVE FREE With Preferred Living Free Rent Contest” (the “Contest”) commences at 12:00 PM (ET) on March 1st, 2012 and ends at 11:59 P.M. (ET) on April 15th, 2012 (the “Contest Period”). All entries must be received by 11:59 P.M. (ET) on April 15th, 2012. Contacting Grand Prize Winner: Following the Prize Winner selection, Preferred Living will make up to three (3) attempts, from April 16th to April 19th, 2012, to contact the potential Prize Winner prior to the official announcement at the Grand Opening Event. If the potential Prize Winner cannot be reached during the period in which he/she is contacted (no messages will be left on answering machines or voicemail systems) the potential Prize Winner will be disqualified and an alternative Prize Winner will be selected from among the remaining Eligible Entries received. In addition, Preferred Living reserves the right to select an alternative Prize Winner in the event that the Prize Winner fails to comply with these Official Rules. Preferred Living assumes no responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate entry information whether caused by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Contest or by any human error that may occur in the processing of the entries in this Contest. Preferred Living is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or players on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof. Preferred Living is also not responsible for any incomplete, lost, late, delayed, misdirected, or garbled votes or failure to receive votes, including, without limitation, any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Contest or the voting rules to this Contest. Preferred Living is not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the printing of the offer, administration of the Contest, or in the announcement of the Prizes or Prize Winners. If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including, without limitation, changes in Preferred Living’s business, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Preferred Living that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest (including, but not limited to, the online entry process) Preferred Living reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest, or the online entry process and to determine the Prize Winners in its sole discretion.
